Natural Preservatives & Shelf Life

All our ingredients are carefully selected for freshness, purity, quality, and potency. Our formulation team sources natural therapeutic ingredients that offer the optimum effectiveness for your skin and each Bambola product. The source of each ingredient is as important as the ingredient itself. Bambola supports fair trade, sustainable and pesticide free agricultural practices. Where ever possible our ingredients are grown employing organic conditions without the use of synthetic preservatives and fertilizers. The vast majority of our oils, both essential and carrier, are harvested from certified or certified natural sources. Our products do not contain animal ingredients. We substitute ingredients that are traditionally sourced from animals in favor of plant based alternatives. The majority of our botanical extracts are made in our lab using a traditional steam distillation method. The steam process eliminates the use of glycols or paraben based preservatives.

The use of natural and natural source ingredients is growing in popularity as consumers become aware of the ecological and biological impact of synthetic ingredients internally and externally. Bambola uses natural ingredients that are present in or produced by nature, or produced using minimal physical processing. Our extraction methods are simple, using a simple distillation process or are a result of naturally occurring biological processes (such as fermentation).

Our products are:

      * not extracted or processed using anything other than natural ingredients 
      * not exposed to irradiation 
      * no GMOs (genetically modified organisms) 
      * does not contain paraben based preservatives
      * does not contain artificial colors 

Our proprietary preservative system is robust - paraben and formaldehyde free. We use naturally based emulsifiers and thickeners. 

Store Bambola products at typical room temperatures, 68-77 degree F (20-25 degrees C) is the perfect environment for Bambola products. When cosmetics of any kind are stored at higher temperatures the preservative system is significantly deteriorated. A good rule of thumb is that; one week stored at temperatures higher than 85 degrees F is equal to three months shelf life.
